Summary

This ED TAB presents a series of tabulations that highlight households' use of public libraries. Patterns of library use by household demographic, social, economic, and geographic characteristics are presented. The data for this ED TAB were collected as part of the October 2002 Current Population Survey (CPS) Library Supplement. The Current Population Survey (CPS) is a monthly survey of households conducted by the Census Bureau for the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Data are collected from a sample of 50,000 to 60,000 households through personal and telephone interviews.
